The Board of Investments meets at 9:00 AM on the second Wednesday of the month.


The Board of Investments has nine members. The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors appoints four members to the Board (see the chart below). The other members are elected as follows: 

  • General Member employees elect two members
  • Safety Member employees elect one member
  • Retired members elect one member
  • The County Treasurer and Tax Collector is required by law to serve on both boards as an ex-officio member.


Board of Supervisors' Appointment Schedule
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors appoints four members of each LACERA Board. Individual appointments are made by the Supervisors on a rotating schedule. The schedule below shows the name and term of each LACERA Board member appointed by the Board of Supervisors.
