REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL – ANNUAL ATTEST AUDITS OF LACERA'S FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
The Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association (LACERA) is requesting proposals from qualified certified public accounting firms to perform annual attest audits of LACERA's financial statements. The financial audits are to be performed in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) as adopted and approved by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
LACERA intends to award a five (5) year agreement beginning January 1, 2010, with a two (2) year extension at LACERA's option.
INTENT TO BID AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS CERTIFICATION
The “Intent to Bid and Minimum Qualifications Certification” must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. PDT, June 5, 2009, to participate in the bidding process. Please forward the Intent to Bid and required attachment(s) to:

QUESTIONS
Any request for clarification or additional information related to this RFP must be in writing and delivered by 5:00 p.m. PDT, on July 10, 2009, either (1) by fax to 626-685-4632, attention Ted Granger, or (2) by email to Mr. Granger at tgranger@lacera.com. LACERA's response to requests for clarification or additional information will be provided to all firms who submit their Intent to Bid. Personal contacts and telephone calls regarding this RFP are prohibited and will not be accepted. Please do not contact LACERA Board Members or staff during this RFP process.
SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
Seven (7) copies of the proposal, attachments and all related information must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. PDT, on August 7, 2009. Include an electronic copy of the proposal in Portable Document Format (PDF). Proposals will be submitted to the contact named above.
