RETIREMENT CALCULATOR
The retirement calculator is an interactive planning tool that uses the information you provide to approximate the monthly allowance you will receive when you retire. Calculations created by this tool are NOT official LACERA estimates.

To use the calculator you need the following information:
1) Your plan
2) Your age at retirement
3) Your years and months of service credit at retirement
4) Your final monthly compensation

The program is easy to use; just follow the prompts and enter your own data. The calculator uses current actuarial tables. You can calculate numerous estimates by entering different retirement ages, salaries, and/or years of service credit.

The calculator approximates retirement allowances under the Unmodified and the Unmodified+Plus Options. (Other options may be elected at retirement). Your LACERA monthly allowance is based on your L.A. County service credit. Your reciprocal service credit, if any, is used only to meet the minimum service credit for retirement (10 years).

IMPORTANT NOTICE - This is not an official LACERA estimate and LACERA is not bound by the results. In the event of a conflict between the Retirement Calculator projections and the official LACERA retirement allowance calculation, LACERA's written estimate will govern. The allowance you receive from LACERA is and will be determined pursuant to the provisions of the County Employees Retirement Law of 1937, as set forth in Government Code Title 3, Division 4, Part 3, Chapter 3 and 3.9, Sections 31450-31899.10.

TRANSFER CALCULATOR
The transfer calculator is an interactive tool designed to give you an idea of the costs associated with a plan transfer. You can use the calculator to project:

• Your monthly Plan D contribution rate if you transfer prospectively from Plan E to Plan D.
• Cost to purchase and convert some or all of your Plan E service credit on a Prospective Transfer.
• The cost of an Open Window Transfer from Plan E to Plan D.

Calculations created by this tool are NOT official LACERA estimates and are intended for use only for planning purposes.

To use the calculator you need to know the following information:
1) Your age at the time you apply for the transfer
2) Your current monthly salary (gross)
3) Your years of Plan E service credit

The program is easy to use, just follow the prompts and enter your own data. You can use the results as a guideline for your personal retirement planning.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - This is not an official LACERA estimate and LACERA is not bound by the results. In the event of a conflict between the Transfer Calculator projections and the official LACERA transfer calculation, the official Transfer Cost Notification Letter calculation will govern. The cost of your transfer from LACERA retirement Plan E to Plan D is and will be determined pursuant to the provisions of the County Employees Retirement Law of 1937, as set forth in Government Code Title 3, Division 4, Part 3, Chapter 3, Article 1.5, Sections 31487-31495.

ARC CALCULATOR (Additional Retirement Credit)
ARC is credit that may be purchased to increase your service credit total. It is not based on actual employment. The ARC calculator is an interactive tool that estimates your cost to purchase up to five years of ARC. It displays a lump-sum cost, monthly payments, payment periods, and the projected monthly retirement allowance increase. These calculations are intended for use only as a financial planning tool; they do NOT constitute an official LACERA estimate.

The calculator is easy to use; all you need to know is your current monthly salary (gross) and your current retirement plan. Just follow the prompts and enter your data.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - This is not an official LACERA estimate of costs and LACERA is not bound by the results. In the event of a conflict between the ARC Calculator projections and the official LACERA service credit calculation, the official ARC Estimate and Cost Notification Letter will govern. The cost of your LACERA service credit will be determined pursuant to the provisions of the County Employees Retirement Law of 1937, as set forth in Government Code Title 3, Division 4, Part 3, Chapter 3, Article 7 Section 31658.
