WORKSHOP — MENTAL FITNESS
LACERA MEMBERS TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND RELAX AT THE WORKSHOPS ON MENTAL FITNESS
LACERA's Staying Healthy Together program completed another successful round of workshops held at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center and Descanso Gardens, where many of our members actively participated in the Mental Fitness seminars. Experts from AccordantCare, Anthem Blue Cross, CIGNA and Kaiser Permanente discussed topics such as managing stress, the importance of challenging the mind by learning new things, and different ways to improve and maintain mental fitness.
The interactive workshops were engaging and stimulating. Presenters took a hands-on approach to teaching useful relaxation techniques to the group, such as how to eliminate anxiety with breathing and meditation. They also had the attendees break into group sessions to share recent new learning experiences.
