“Benchmark” refers to the cost of the County’s selected healthcare plan premium against which your subsidy percentage is applied. 

The County has set the following benchmark plans for calculating the subsidy amount:

  • Anthem Blue Cross Plans I and II, for Tier 1 and non-Medicare Tier 2 members
  • Anthem Blue Cross Plan III (Medicare Supplement Plan) for Tier 2 members enrolled in Medicare
  • Cigna Indemnity Dental/Vision Plan

Plan premium rates are updated annually. Please refer to the Medical and Dental/Vision Premium Rates booklet for the current rates according to your tier, plan, years of service credit, and number of dependents covered.
