In general, the higher your retirement age, the higher your final compensation percentage for calculating your retirement allowance—until you reach your plan’s maximum benefit return age.
Check the Calculating Your Retirement Allowance chart in your online plan book for the age at which your percentage reaches its maximum benefit return. If you are no longer working as an active LACERA member and reach the highest age listed in the plan book, postponing your retirement until you reach a higher age will not increase your benefit.
